Elizabeth and I, we like to talk on the phone sometimes.

Baby-girl is getting big....and really good at staring contests. She doesn't blink and is content just kickin back and looking at your face for a while.
When I type in the word "kiss" in a text message, my phone's T9 text input outputs "lips" by default. I thought that was really cute. I've noticed it a lot lately as I am often requesting that kisses from me be delivered to Elizabeth Grace via the receivers of my texts (i.e. my parents and sister). I hope she's getting them :)
Baby girl took a nap on me today. This lasted about an hour and a half...heaven. Until next month, sweetie.

I'm on the train right now on my way to meet Elizabeth Grace Thibault!!! She'll be about 8 hours old when I get to her. I'm obsessed with her already. October 1st...what a great date for a birthday.
32 years ago, my mother got a cradle that sat beside her at her baby shower.

Sarah and I each slept in it along with 17 other babies since then and a log has been kept under the mattress.

My dad recently refinished it in preparation for Baby T-bo (#20) in October. The cradle, in its fresh whiteness, sat reminiscently beside Sarah at her baby shower this weekend.

Cute, huh?
Today, I returned to my very first ever profession, babysitting. It made me think back to the days 15(!!!) years ago when I started babysitting. I can't believe that I, at the age of 14, was left to supervise four small children at one time, including one not much older than my caretaker (can that be the opposite of "caregiver" for now?) today. Anyway, today there was only one...little Viola. We hung out in and around the Marriott at Copley Place, where our day consisted of staring wonderously at the reflecting pool at the Christian Science Center, napping in Copley Square, people-watching in the hotel lobby, flirting with other guests in the elevator, and chewing on some books. It ended with another nap at Uncle Adam's softball game, hence the Cubs jersey.
In sum, and in the words of Ice Cube, today was a good day.
1. the sister of one's father or mother
2. me!
Come October, I'll be joining these ladies in the world of aunt-hood.
!!!!!!!!! Even cooler, Sarah and Matt will be a mom and a dad. Everyone wins!
