Pantone color mugs at a shop in the North End.

Honey, how do you want your coffee?
Uhhh...dark, one sugar, and I'll take it in Pantone 19-1557. Thanks.
...other Stephanie Powers. I wonder if she says "Stephanie with a ph and an ie, Power with no s" too.
Sent to me by a friend on a cross-country road trip:

Got 'em both...apartment and furniture. Together they will be in a few weeks :)
Here's a little sneak peak at our new back stoop:

I want!

I am hounding this on craigslist right now. It comes with a matching arm chair and that really cool floor lamp slash end table. please please pleeeeeeease.
We are also hounding an awesome apartment in the North End right now. The two together would be mind-blowing. Stay tuned...
I've got a thing for alternatively-shaped vegetables. They lure me to the farmers markets on Mondays, and I end up with a smorgasbord of zucchinis and squash for the week. If I buy globe zucchinis, Adam has no choice but to make me stuffed zucchini for dinner.

I made some scallops and rice last week to go with a giant patty-pan squash.

I bought an iPhone last month and now I take even more pictures of banal things.
First stop after the Apple store: the convenient store where I took the first picture:

I documented my job search, which took place at the cafes of the North End.

Not long after that, I had a sort of job interview, after which I got a ride home from my friend on her Vespa and we got stuck in mad Celtics mayhem by the Fleet Center. (note iPhone in the rearview mirror)

Before I started work, I had hot pot for the first time in Chinatown. Mmmmm...interactive eating.

Then I started my job.

After week one, I needed a vacation, so I went to Maine for the weekend and stayed in this cool cottage on a lake. More pictures here.

Now I'll never forget anything I do...ever.
Craigslist is hot right now.
A complete Hans Wegner dining set.

I tend to declare things "the best ever" pretty easily while I'm in the moment, like "This is the best gin & tonic ever." or "This is gonna be the best summer ever." A lot of times it has to refer to food that I'm really enjoying at the time. Anyway, Adam and I have more than once declared really fun days that we've had, "the best day(s) ever." Despite its singularity and definitiveness, we try to be flexible in using the phrase multiple times.
So before I left New York, I cashed in on a Christmas present from Adam....a "best day ever". This particular "best day ever" was all planned and mapped out. It entailed watching "This Old House" over breakfast, an afternoon at the Natural History Museum, and dinner and drinks at an Italian place on the Upper West Side that had been recommended to us. We revised the plan as the day went on, as we couldn't find the restaurant, so we hopped down to Little Italy for a really good dinner outside.
The museum is amazing (maybe the best ever).

Dinner was soooo good.

Look familiar?

It's a watch I was pining over months ago, and now it's on my wrist! Adam snuck onto Watchismo and snagged it for me as a graduation gift. It's so perfect and appropriate. I feel at least 15 percent more sophisticated and probably 25 percent or so cooler now. LUV it. It's a huge gold clunker from the 60s. It's in perfect condition and is a legit watch...by that I mean I have to wind it everday (!!!) and it's not even water resistant. It's serious business. With that said, what architecture firm won't want me to work for them immediately when I walk in with this on my wrist? Right?!
